This experiment proved that it is possible to keep a wall clean, and make the paan-chewer change his spitting behaviour.

So, now that we have figured him out, let’s deprive him of wall surfaces to spit on.

Over 100 feet of vacant walls (between 2 paanwalas!) have now been transformed.

All the neighbours have been supportive, and have acknowledged the impact. Many lent a helping hand.

Suddenly, walking on this street is pleasant again.

The paanwalas still do brisk business, but nobody spits on the walls anymore.

The Ugly Indian paan-chewer is not that ugly after all.
