We made it our problem.
We talked to all the wire-owners to take
their permission to put the slab back in its place.
And to see if anyone objected to us doing it.
It took a few phone calls and some persistence.
But we got our answer.
BSNL came and said that the wire was
not theirs. Airtel, whose line we learnt it was, confirmed that we could replace the slab any
way we want as long as we don’t damage the
wire.
So we had the all-clear. It takes 3 of us (and 1
supervisor) 30 minutes of work to put the slab
securely back in place.
Several sceptics passing by told us that this is a
pointless exercise. It’s incredible how people
materialise to offer advice
